The pressure may range from light/medium Swedish to Deep Tissue, always focusing on your comfort level and desired results. All my therapeutic massages will combine several skilled techniques, including assisted stretching, aromatherapy, and hot/cold applicatios (hot towels, hot/cold stones, warming/cooling gels) to properly assist the body in relaxing, rejuvenating and creating a space for healing.
The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from typical, as well as chronic/acute aches and pains, decreasing stress and lowering blood pressure, boosting the immune system, increasing circulation, and enhancing the client's physical flexibility, mental clarity, and overall state of well-being and wellness.
In a 60/90/120 minute session you may choose to receive a full body massage (back, legs, arms, head and neck). Yet, we can simply focus on site specific issues for more focused work...such as neck/back, shoulders, or legs.
Sports Massage is designed for athletes in training or the"weekend warriors". Engaging in sports is harsh on the body and can often lead to injuries in both the short and long term. Sports Massage includes a blend of Swedish, Deep Tissue, Interactive Stretching, Joint Mobilizations and Movement Therapy techniques. It enhances performance and prolongs a sports career by helping prevent injury, reduce pain and swelling in the body, relax the mind, and increase flexibility. It assists in the rapid recovery from an injury by encouraging greater kinesthetic awareness, and promoting the body's natural immune function to make certain each athelete maintains their peak performance. Individual sessions are offered, as well as on-site pre/post events such as marathons, golf tournaments, and various other sporting events.
Thai Bodywork is an ancient healing art form. It is often referred to as Thai Yoga and can be more energizing than most other forms of massage therapy. It uniquely blends the benefits of massage, yoga, and energy work in one nurturing session. No oils are applied, and you will remain clothed during the session. Positive effects of Thai Massage is greater flexibility, improved posture, flow of positive energy, and a evoke a deeper sense of relaxtion. Use of the therapist's hands, knees, legs, and feet will gently move you into a series of yoga-like postures and stretches. Sessions are sensitive and adaptive to each client's conditions, flexibility and comfort level. Thai massage is proven to help release stress, pain, and bring the body back into its natural state of being and restore balance.
Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet, hands and ears. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into your feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression.
Thermal Stone Therapy is a style of massage where heated basalt stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. The warm and smooth stones are used to heat the muscles, thus releasing tension and stress more deeply than a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating.
Chair massage is a popular way of relieving stress and releasing tension. Clients receive massage in a specialized ergonomic chair which I bring to your location. In addition to the usual health benefits of massage, another benefit of chair massage is that it is done over the clothing. Also, chair massage sessions are usually shorter than traditional massage, making it convenient enough to fit into your busy schedule. It is an excellent treat for your office staff, client appreciation, sporting, and community events and private parties.
